Mark has over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry and a B.S. in hospitality management. He worked for TGI Fridays and the 1982 World’s Fair before striking out on his own to open Mark’s Feed Store Bar-B-Q, building the business from the ground up and developing a small chain located in Louisville and Indiana. Winner of 9 (nine) “BEST of Louisville” awards and generating dozens of articles from as far away as Michigan and featured in magazines such as Bon Appetite and Southern Living. During that time, Mark developed a line of sauces for the restaurants and sold them in multiple retail stores in over 50 regional locations. He also created a Bar-B-Q pizza for Papa John’s utilizing Mark’s proprietary sauce shipped directly to over 3,000 Papa John’s restaurants internationally. Mark’s Feed Store served many celebrities, including Bob Seger, Bo Derrick, George Lucas, Jerry Bruckheimer, two U.S. Presidents, and many local celebrities.
